Chapter 1

Digital literacy involves having a current knowledge and understanding of computers, mobile devices, the Internet, and related technologies. A computer is an electronic device, operating under the control of instructions stored in its own memory. There are a few types of computers; Laptop, Tablet, Desktop, Server while the types of mobile and game devices are smartphone, digital camera, portable media player, e-book reader and also game console. Data and information are related to each other  because data entered or as input will be processed and then the information will be generated or called as output. A display is an output device that visually conveys text, graphics, and video information. The Internet is a worldwide collection of networks that connects millions of businesses, government agencies, educational institutions, and individuals. We must use computers and devices smartly so as not to be infected with viruses and to save energy.
